What happens after a trade
An executed trade is not the end of the process. It has to be cleared, settled and recorded, and the securities have to be reflected in the right account. This service covers that side of the relationship.
The infrastructure involved
Almeer Securities operates within Pakistan’s established post-trade infrastructure.
- Central Depository Company (CDC) provides the electronic infrastructure through which eligible securities are held, transferred and recorded. Depending on your account arrangement, securities may be maintained through a CDC sub-account or a CDC Investor Account.
- National Clearing Company of Pakistan (NCCPL) supports trade clearing, settlement, risk management and investor identification through the Unique Identification Number system.
Because these institutions communicate with you directly, the notifications and statements they send are worth reading. They are an independent record of what has happened in your account.

How client assets are held
Client funds are held in segregated accounts, kept separate from the company’s own assets, and securities are recorded in the client’s own depository account arrangement.
Segregation is a protection against the misuse of client assets by a broker. It is not protection against market losses, which remain the investor’s own risk. More detail is set out under Regulatory Status.
If something does not look right
Check your trade confirmations, account statements and depository notifications promptly, and raise anything you do not recognise without delay. Errors are easier to investigate and resolve while the records are recent.
