Investor safety checklist
- Protect your credentials — Never share a password, PIN or verification code with anyone, including someone claiming to be from Almeer Securities. We will never ask you for them.
- Review your trades and statements — Check confirmations against what you instructed, promptly.
- Monitor CDC and NCCPL alerts — These come to you independently of us. Reading them is one of the strongest protections you have.
- Maintain funds or securities for settlement — A trade has to settle. Ensure the money or the shares are there.
- Report discrepancies without delay — Anything is easier to investigate while the records are recent.
- Understand the risk — Investment in securities can lose money. That risk is real and it is yours.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a large amount of money to open an account?
Requirements depend on the account type. Contact our team, who will tell you what applies to the account you are considering rather than quoting a figure that may not apply to you.
How long does account opening take?
It depends on how quickly complete and accurate documents are provided and on the applicable verification requirements. We do not publish a fixed timeframe, because doing so would be a commitment we cannot make for every case.
Can somebody else operate my account for me?
Open and operate an account in your own name. Sharing credentials removes most of the protections that exist for you, and it is how a large share of account problems begin.
Where are my shares actually held?
In the depository, under your own account arrangement — a CDC sub-account or a CDC Investor Account. CDC sends you notifications directly; read them.
What happens if my investment loses money?
A market loss is the investor's own risk. Segregation of client funds protects against misuse of client assets by a broker. It is not protection against prices falling, and no institution in the market compensates an investor for a market loss.
Does Almeer Securities tell me what to buy?
No. Almeer Securities is a securities brokerage. It executes your instructions. Nothing published on this site is personalised investment advice.
Verify us independently
